Finally – something new for all you talented individuals to showcase your creative skills – a pop-up pyramid. Not only is this a new shape but it also has an automatic pop-up action to add to the fun of working with something new. The pyramid shape lends itself to the crafts of cardmaking, decoupage and rubber stamping and it is the personal favourite of our own crafts specialist, Gail Brown (see "Gail’s Page" for more comments from Gail).
The pop-up pyramid offers four triangular faces to accommodate your artistic efforts which are supported on a square base. The design concepts used on this product by commercial graphic artists have been many and varied but no-one has actually designed it as a pyramid! The concept is very simple. Take two identical photos. Choose one area that you want to wobble (we have used wobbly, heads and wobbly bums!) and cut that out like a die–cut. Affix a spring to the back of the cut out piece then stick it over the original photo so that the subject now has a wobbly bit! Our resident crafts person, Gail Brown, agrees that it is easy to work with and the interactive movement generates many new ideas for showcasing paper crafts skills.
We have found that a plain and simple "wobbly bits" card like the one featured on our video and on the "How to make" page travel perfectly well in a good quality envelope so to keep costs down, we have not included a full all–board mailing pack with this item.
